Rwanda Wildlife Safari, Rwanda Gorilla Trekking.

Day one - Arrival/ Transfer to Kigali.
Your Tour starts with a meet and greet by our safari representatives at the Airport. You are driven a short distance to the Kigali Serena for overnight based on bed and breakfast.

Day Two - Rwanda Safari to Akagera National Park
Morning travel to Akagera National Park for gameviewing and birdwatching. A late afternoon safari in the park points out Cape Buffalo, Zebra, Giraffe and Elephant. In between the drives, you may want to relax by poolside. Meals and Overnight at Akagera Kempiski Lodge.

Day Three - More Game Viewing in Akagera
More game viewing in the Akagera National Park in search of Eland, Shoe Billed Stork,Hippo and other wildlife. Meals and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge.

Day Four - Transfer to Kempiski Gorilla Mountains
Breakfast at leisure, then transfer on a lovely 4 hour drive through winding roads to the Kempiski Gorillas Mountains Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day Five - Climb Mountain Karisimbi
Morning start your climb to the Mount Karisimbi. Mount Karisimbi is the highest of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains. It is a huge dome, now dormant, that dominates the range, more in girth than in height. Its name in Kinyarwanda means white shell, which refers to its often white-capped summit. Interestingly, this cap results not from snow but from hail and sleet which accumulate in the higher elevations from its frequent storms. You will camp up in the Mountain(subject to availability of support crew) before returning to base the following day.

Day Six - Second day Mountain Karisimbi
Climb up to the Peak of Karisimbi(4507m) and then descend and overnight at Kempiski Gorilla Mountains Lodge in Kinigi.

Day Seven - Gorilla safari in Rwanda.
Day of gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes gorilla park. Depending on the level of fitness, you may be allowed to choose the group of gorillas you wish to visit. The closest being about 2 hours or even a couple of minutes from the park boundary. Meals and overnight at the Kempiski Gorilla Mountains Lodge in Kinigi Or Climb Mount Bisoke. On top the biggest crater lake of the Virunga chain can be seen unless there is too much fog the track leads through bamboo forest, the habitat of mountain gorillas, giant lobelia or hagenia and alpine meadows.

Day Eight - Mountain Gorilla safari in Rwanda.
Early morning hike to the Famous Dian Fossey Research centre and Gorilla Grave Yard. This is Where Dr. Fossey spent close to two decades habituating, studying and conserving the endangered Mountain Gorillas. Return for overnight at the Kempiski Gorilla Mountains Lodge in Kinigi.

Day Nine - Transfer to Nyungwe forest.
Morning breakfast then transfer to the Nyungwe Forest on a full day drive. This Forest contains a variety of habitats including montane forest, bamboo, grasslands, swamps and bogs, and is very mountainous too. It provides some of the best Colobus Monkey experiences in East Africa.
Troops of Chimpanzees may also be seen here. Meals and Overnight at the new Nyungwe Rain Forest Lodge.(available in March 2009).

Day Ten - Primates/ Chimpanzee trekking.
Breakfast early before starting the morning Primate or Chimpanzee trekking expedition in the forest in search of colonies of habituated Primates. Other wildlife in the forest include: grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, Angolan colobus, L'hoest's monkeys and owl-faced monkeys. Meals and overnight at Nyungwe Rain Forest Lodge.

Day 11 and 12 - Travel to lake Kivu, Rwanda safari.
Morning travel to the Lake Kivu for relaxing at the Beach. Overnight at the Kivu Serena Lodge.

Day Thirteen - Visit the Genocide Memorial, Rwanda safari.
Morning at leisure before heading to Visit of the Genocide Memorial where remains of thousands of Tutsis and moderate Hutus can be seen. Meals and overnight at the Kigali Serena.

Day Fourteen - Transfer to the Airport.
Morning transfer to the airport for departure. End of safari.
