Day one - Bwindi Gorilla Safari - 3 Days tour - Uganda.

Day one - Start Uganda Gorilla Safari to Bwindi.
The Gorilla safari starts from Kampala or Entebbe with a morning departure for the south west with stops at the craft village, at the Uganda Equator for pictures and shopping, in Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch in Mbarara, proceed through the beautiful evergreen mountain country referred to as the "Little Switzerland". Arrive late evening for dinner and overnight either at Gorilla Resort Camp and Lodge or Buhoma homestead.

Day Two - Gorilla tour Uganda Bwindi National Park.
Morning breakfast at the Gorilla Resort. Later, attend briefing by park ranger guides. Later with picnic lunch, start 30 minutes - 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas in Bwindi. The tracking starts at the area where the gorillas were the previous day. After a full hour with the gorillas, return to The Gorilla Resort Camp for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Camp and Uganda safaris Lodge.

Day Three - Drive back/ community tour.
After breakfast, we depart from the gorilla sanctuary and transfer to Mbarara for lunch, Later depart for Kampala with a stop over at the Uganda equator and the Mpambire drum makers workshop should you wish.

BWINDI IMPENETRATABLE NATIONAL PARK
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda in East Africa. The park is part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and is situated along the Democratic Republic of Congo border next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the western Rift Valley. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park comprises 331 square kilometres of jungle forests and contains both montane and lowland forest and is accessible only on foot.Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site.

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park forest is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa, and the diversity of species is a feature of the park. The park provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 346 species of birds, 202 species of butterflies, 163 species of trees, 100 species of ferns, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species. In particular the area shares in the high levels of endemisms of the Albertine Rift.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a sanctuary for colobus monkeys, chimpanzees and many birds (such as hornbills and turacos). It is perhaps most notable for the 340 Bwindi gorillas, half the world's population of the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas. There are four habituated Mountain Gorilla groups open to tourism: Mubare, Habinyanja, Rushegura near Buhoma; and the Nkuringo group at Nkuringo. Uganda Wildlife Authority leaflet, May 2008.
